GENERAL INFORMATION

The International Conference on Advanced Steels (ICAS) is the merging of two international conference series: “International Symposium on Ultrafine Grained Structures (ISUGS)”since 2001 and “International Conference on Advanced Structural Steels (ICASS)”since 2002.

The merged ICAS 2010 was held in Guilin, China. Followed by ICAS 2015 in Yokohama, Japan, ICAS 2018 in Jeju, Korea and ICAS 2022 in Tsukuba, Japan.

We sincerely welcome you to contribute and participate in the 8th ICAS 2025, both from academic or industrial perspective.

SCOPE

This conference will cover the progress, challenges and opportunities related to advanced steels. This includes the effects of decarbonisation on iron and steel development, the impact of new technologies such as AI/ML and advances in our understanding of the basic concepts of these steel types. Topics include but are not limited to:

Physical metallurgy

Steel processing

Steel design and modeling inc. Al/ML

Steel products, performance and applications

Green steel technology

CONFERENCE LANGUAGE

English, with Al simultaneous Chinese interpretation.

CALL FOR PAPERS
