About the Conference

This conference will cover the progress, challenges and opportunities related to advanced steels. This includes the effects of decarbonisation on iron and steel development, the impact of new technologies such as AI/ML and advances in our understanding of the basic concepts of these steel types. Topics include but are not limited to:

·Physical metallurgy

·Steel processing

·Steel design and modeling inc. AI/ML

·Steel products, performance and applications

·Green steel technology

Abstract Submission Guidelines

1. Important Dates

Extended Abstract Deadline: July 31, 2025

Notification of Acceptance Deadline: September 30, 2025

2. Abstract Requirements

Content: Ensure the abstract is concise, clear, and includes the following:

·One A4 sized sheet (including text, tables and figures).

·Title: Short and specific, reflecting the core of the research (max 20 words).

·Authors and Affiliations: List all authors, their affiliations, and contact details. Specify the corresponding author.

·Main Text: No more than 500 words and including 3-4 images, preferably structured as: Introduction, Experimental Procedures, Results and Discussion, Reference. Abstracts must be written in English.

3. Submission Format

File Format: Submit as PDF.

Formatting:

· Font: Times New Roman(title: size 11, text: size 10, figure and reference: size 9).

· Line Spacing: Single.

· Page margin: Top and bottom: 2.54 cm, left and right: 3.18 cm.

· File Naming: Use the format AuthorName_Title.pdf

Submission Portal: Submit abstracts via the official conference website. The system supports file uploads and supplementary information.

4. Review and Acceptance

All abstracts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process by the ICAS 2025 Academic Committee. Evaluation criteria include: originality, scientific rigor, relevance. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by September 30, 2025. Accepted abstracts will require additional preparation for oral or poster presentations.

5. Presentation and Display Formats

(1) Oral Presentation:

· Presentation duration: 15 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for Q&A.

· Use of PowerPoint with supporting visuals and graphs is recommended.

· The primary language is English.

(2) Poster Display:

· Recommended poster size: A0 (841mm × 1189mm).

· Posters should include a title, authors, research background, key data, and conclusions.

· Posters must be displayed before the opening ceremony.
